WF-AID is excited to share its Annual Review for 2017/18, which contains more information about where we’ve worked, who we’ve served and how you’ve transformed lives.
Thanks to your donations and our tireless volunteers, we’ve been able to reach communities in remote places and even work in war-torn countries like Syria.
We’ve even been responding to natural disasters, like flooding in India, and also provided urgent medical care, facilitating things like cataract operations and tumour-removal surgery.
Our relief work has seen us commission 269 water wells, support over 1,000 children through education and provide a staggering 840,000 breakfasts for school children in East Africa.
During winter, we reached thousands more and provided emergency items like quilts, blankets, heaters and clothing, at a time when temperatures started dropping dangerously low.
Our Ramadan Relief, which has been delivering aid for the last 38 consecutive years, once again provided month-lasting nutritious food packs to 180,000 deserving people, giving them a stable platform for weeks ahead.
We’re committed to empowering communities and have even introduced innovative projects to help people set up their own business and provide long-term affordable housing.
Some other great news is that our Zero% Admin policy ensures all your valuable donations are used on the project of your choice, allowing us to reach even more.
We look forward to your continued support over the next year and having a further positive impact on the lives of orphans, widows and those deserving.
