From the start, The World Federation of KSIMC has been an organisation based on democratic processes and constitutional values.

The World Federation was born by unanimous assent at the 1976 Constitutional Conference in London. Thereafter, its constitution, previously drafted by a sub-committee, was accepted by majority accord. This was then followed by the election of office-bearers.

Today, The World Federation continues to operate under this constitution and is run by an elected President and Executive Council that oversees the activities of the Secretariat. The Secretariat, led by the Secretary General, comprises of full and part time staff supported by volunteers from member communities all over the world.

In addition to WF-Aid, The World Federation focuses on Community Affairs and Education for its member – building stronger networks within the Khoja communities around the world and uplifting the community spiritually, financially and intellectually.

WF Aid is the philanthropic arm of The World Federation of KSIMC (‘The World Federation’).  The office bearer team and board of trustees of The World Federation provide overall strategic direction and support, with the day to day activities of WF Aid run by the WF Aid team.

Alhaj Safder Jaffer

Alhaj Safder Jaffer

President
Alhaj Safder Jaffer was born in Mombasa, Kenya, and is married with two sons. In his professional career, he is a partner in one of the largest actuarial firms in the world and has been in this profession for over 20 years. He also lectures on Islamic subjects and has travelled worldwide reciting majalis as a Muballigh in English, Urdu and Gujarati. He has been involved with The World Federation for over 17 years in a number of different roles, including Islamic Education advisor, Head of Tarbiyah, and WF Liaison.
Habib Meghjee

Habib Meghjee

Vice President
Habib Meghjee is the son of Late Amirali and Late Leilabai Ladha Meghjee of Mwanza, Tanzania. He is a remarkable individual whose journey has taken him from his hometown to Toronto, Canada. Driven by a thirst for knowledge, he ventured to Toronto to pursue higher education, ultimately obtaining a B.Comm degree from the prestigious University of Toronto. His dedication and hard work led him to become a Chartered Professional Accountant, earning the esteemed title of CPA.
Sajjad Rajan

Sajjad Rajan

Honorary Treasurer
Sajjad Rajan was born in London, UK but spent much of his early life in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania. He returned back to the UK in 2003 to pursue his career. He is married and has two young children. He is a chartered accountant, with over 15 years’ experience in tax planning and accountancy and currently owns three separate firms, which carry out statutory audits. He works with a portfolio of charities with their accounts and provides guidance on structure, efficiency and reporting, providing invaluable insight to The World Federation.
Mohsin Musa

Assistant Honorary Treasurer
Mohsin Musa was born in Mogadishu, Somalia. He moved to settle in Karachi, Pakistan due to the civil war in Somalia. He completed his secondary school education and started his professional career in Karachi. Mohsin is an audit professional with both external and internal audit experience having worked in Pakistan, Middle East and Europe. He is currently based in London working for a Big 4 firm within audit. He is a fellow member of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) UK. He is very keen in mentoring junior team members empowering and allowing them to progress in their careers.
Ali Jawad Hansraj

Ali Jawad Hansraj

Secretary General
Ali Jawad is the son of Azad Mohammedali Hansraj originally of Mbale, Uganda. His mother Salma bai Hansraj hails from the family of Allama Haji GhulamAli (Haji Naji) of Gujarat. He lives in London with his parents, wife and three children aged 21, 18, and 14. Ali Jawad is a member of the Hujjat Stanmore jamaat. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Management from Brunel University, west London and a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) in a jointly run programme by Royal Holloway and Imperial College under what was then the University of London.

Dr Ali Abbas Rashid Hasham

Assistant Secretary General
Dr Ali Abbas Rashid Hasham is the son of Sukaina and the late Marhum Dr Murtaza Rashid of Mombasa. He was born and raised in Mombasa and migrated to London (UK) in 2007 after completing his GCSE’s. He went on to study medicine at Queen Mary University of London. He then completed his postgraduate training in Portsmouth and Luton before qualifying as a General Practitioner (GP). He currently is a GP Partner at Bacon Lane Surgery in Edgware providing NHS services to the local population. In a professional capacity, he is also a GP Trainer and educator, performs minor surgery procedures and is currently the Harrow Primary Care Cancer Lead.

Starting off as a community organisation, our work over the years had broken past all boundaries and barriers to become a truly global movement.

We have partners and projects in Kenya, Tanzania, Pakistan, India, Bosnia, Burundi, Djibouti, Iraq, Syria, Madagascar, Myanmar, Palestine, South Africa, Thailand and Bangladesh. It is our goal to continue to expand our network of services and work with all human beings, regardless of race, nationality or creed.
